Support Coordination is a type of support that can be funded through a participant’s NDIS plan.
Support Coordination funding can be used to assist a participant to utilise their NDIS plan and connect to informal, mainstream, community and funded supports. How this is achieved or implemented may look different for each individual, based on their goals and priorities.
Support Coordinators can support a person in many ways:
Find and implement different support options, that will best suit you and your goals
Help manage your NDIS budget
Help you to understand and implement the funding in your plan
Assist you to prepare for your review
Be present at your review with you, if you choose
Assist you to address the NDIS if funded supports did not adequately meet your needs or if a crisis arises
